Primary Duties: Laboratory Assistants in this fast-paced physician laboratory perform a variety of job duties including data entry, registration, order entry, billing, specimen collection, instrument maintenance, calibrations, quality control, and moderate complexity testing. Knowledge of laboratory processes, phlebotomy, medical terminology, billing, ICD-9 codes and medical necessity is required to perform these duties. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. Lab Assistants work directly with patients and must be compassionate and professional. Moderate computer skills required. This position is benefits-eligible. Will train on the job!
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification and/or previous laboratory experience is preferred. Moderate level of computer skills required. Must be compassionate and professional, with excellent customer service skills.
Schedule: 8am to 1pm, Monday through Friday
