Primary Duties: The role of the Project Manager (PM) is to be the lead responsible for accomplishing the objectives of assigned projects through application of project management knowledge, skills, tools, processes, and techniques. The PM manages a broad spectrum of healthcare-oriented projects in support of ongoing and strategic initiatives for Regional West Health Services. Primary activities will be the application and integration of the project management processes for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and control, and closing. The PM serves as a member of the Leadership Council and functions at a leadership level. This position reports to the Vice President of Information Technology/CIO. Successful candidates should possess the following skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to lead others to complete project work on time and on-budget, ability to communicate with and understand the needs of all affected customers, including, staff, physicians, leadership and patients, ability to continually re-prioritize workload, ability to function in a collaborative and collegial environment, and ability to generate trust and build alliances with co-workers. They will also need to possess strong critical thinking skills, and be able to mesh with the existing management team by being a good listener, a team builder and an articulate advocate of Regional West Health Services vision and strategic plan.

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelors degree or comparable project management/healthcare management work experience, and formal training in project management; professional certification, PMP is preferred. Five years management or project management experience in a healthcare setting required. Experience implementing complex systems, preferably hospital information systems. Skill in the use of computer and office automation software such as MS-Office and MS-Project are preferred. Candidates must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service, and have the ability to form strategic partnerships and build strong work teams to accomplish organizational goals.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
