The primary duties of the Design Principal will be to develop project concepts and follow through with the complete design creation of healthcare facilities. Should have production and design experience in preparation of architectural documents and specifications. Good design skills, potential and the ability to lead a group in design related work are of great importance. Independently coordinates the design effort throughout all phases of a project. Establishes client and internal meetings and participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts master planning, schematic design, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplines. Reviews architectural documents to assure design intent implementation. Develops company recognition within the community for superior quality design. Position requires a full understanding of team design and planning, and the candidate must be able to leverage skills, provide strong mentoring and career development to staff and be a company design resource nationwide, as well as locally.
