Monitor and inspect the contractor's construction activities to insure conformance with the contract documents, certify the work and materials incorporated in the project, and derive final contract quantities that will be the basis for intermediate and final payments to the contractor.

Keep daily reports at the site and furnish weekly and monthly progress reports to CSXT and the USCG.

Compute construction quantities for monthly payment to the contractor.

Coordinate billing and payments procedures with CSXT Accounting Department. Compute and keep track of CSXT force account work.

Attend Pre-construction conference.

Attend meetings and conferences as required by CSXT and/or U.S. Coast Guard to resolve construction problems and contractor claims.

Evaluate contractor's changes and requests of time extension.

Conduct final inspection and attend contract closeout meeting.

8+ years of construction or construction inspection experience.

Experience with heavy moveable bridge construction is preferred.

Experience with railroad bridge construction is also preferred.

College degree is not required.
