Position Description
The primary duty of the Business Class Director Integrated Water Planning is to provide strategic focus nationally on positioning HDR as the preferred provider of design and consulting services for water supply projects and programs.
More specific duties include leading the development of marketing initiatives and achieving customer service and performance goals.
The Business Class Leader is responsible for building and sustaining HDRs enhanced prestige and image in our areas of business.
Works with regions and offices to ensure that the National vision and direction is incorporated into the offices..
Participates in setting goals for HDRs participation in professional organizations. Works with regional and office management to target staff participation and ensure that local office goals include aggressive participation in key professional organizations.
Oversight of the Water Supply Marketing Program. Assist in targeting projects which meet the goals of the WBG and work with local offices to ensure that an effective marketing pursuit is waged for these projects.
Assists in determining advertising program objectives and key publications which will be utilized
Serve as principal, or key resource on select water supply projects
Lead in building technical expertise/areas of expertise for water supply.
Lead Water Supply Practice Groups and Key technical resources.
Assists in staffing/recruiting plans and hires between regions and offices. Take a leading role in ensuring that offices are defining staff needs critical to meet the HDR strategic business plan.
Promotes Quality Assurance and quality control
Provides feedback on yearly reviews of local and regional Water Business Group leaders. This position requires a Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in Water Supply Services. Experienced in development and management of diverse teams. Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts. Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values. This position could be located in any of HDR's office in the West Region.
