Position Description
This position can be located in either the Lexington or Louisville, KY HDR office.
HDR Engineering is experiencing significant growth in Kentucky and is seeking to hire a program manager who will build an environmental engineering and sciences practice in the region.
The position will be responsible for generating revenue from opportunities in the areas of surface water management, flood management, floodplain mapping, storm water management, levee and dam design/construction, water rights and marketing, eco-system restoration, environmental related studies/surveys, and integrated water resource management and planning. The ideal candidate will be extremely familiar with KY water issues, policies, players, programs and projects. The candidate must have existing relationships with federal, state and local agencies across the major markets of KY and be able to serve as a focal point for HDR externally in the marketplace. Additionally the candidate will be responsible for coordinating with HDR's regional and national directors to help shape HDR's go-to-market plans, build internal teams, recruit and retain key staff, identify long-range opportunities, lead project teams, negotiate contracts and grow market share. The candidate will work with our existing offices in Lexington and Louisville offices to serve as a focal point for the Environmental Program in Kentucky. This position will report to the Area Director.
