As Heartland Family Service continues to serve the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community, we are looking for reliable, adaptable, and passionate therapists to help us engage and provide therapeutic services to people who have a history of or currently living with mental health and/or substance use needs. 

A BIT ABOUT US

Founded in 1875, our agency has grown over the years to address most of the challenges children, adults, families, and communities face across the lifespan, including substance use, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence/sexual assault, human trafficking, homelessness, juvenile justice, mental health, neighborhood distress, and poverty. Today, we offer 42 programs from 20 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa. THE OPPORTUNITY

Unique opportunity to earn supplemental income by being on-call to cover groups within Heartland Family Services. Ability to work in a group setting with a diverse population of clients with co-occurring disorders utilizing evidenced based practices.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour for Bachelor’s level CADC/IADC/PLADC/LADC; $35.00 per hour for Provisionally Licensed (PLMHP); $45.00 per hour for Fully Licensed (LMHP)
Work Schedule: Part-Time Flexible Schedule (20 hours per week)

Locations: Council Bluffs, Logan, Glenwood, Omaha, Papillion

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You could be perfect for this opportunity if you’ve had at least two years previous related experience and have attained a bachelor’s level CADC/IADC/PLADC/LADC or have a master’s degree in Social Work or related field. Additionally preferred licensure includes: CADC, PLADC, LADC, PLMHP, LMHP, LIMHP. We are looking for someone who can build strong rapport with diverse groups, and who is exceptionally reliable, organized, detailed-oriented, and takes a trauma informed approach to engaging with clients. THE SKILL SET

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, departments, programming, and team and gain an understanding about how your role fits into Heartland Family Service’s broader organization mission and strategy.
  • Attend new employee orientation training to learn the mission of the organization, how we are doing, where we are going, and our overall agency philosophy.
  • Work with team and manager to understand work expectations and set goals for the first three months in the role
  • Get to know our policies, procedures, and clinical tasks and processes
  • Be introduced to and ramped to use Evolve (electronic health record).
  • Partner with manager to define key success metrics for your role and how to keep track of your progress
  • Weekly supervisions with supervisor, monthly clinicals with therapists across the agency.
  • Shadow other team members
  • Begin leading groups
