TREATMENT MANAGER – PSYCHIATRIC MEDICAL INSTITUTION FOR CHILDREN (PMIC)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Join a team dedicated to making lasting change in the lives of youth. As a Treatment Manager at Children’s Square USA, you’ll be a key leader in a residential setting for youth ages 8–17 with mental health diagnoses. You'll guide and support individualized treatment planning while working alongside a dynamic care team of therapists, direct care staff, and mental health professionals.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a passion for youth mental health, and is committed to helping children return to family-like settings equipped with tools for lifelong success. You'll also be a vital connection point for families, guardians, schools, and state partners, ensuring every youth receives coordinated, compassionate, and effective care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee the treatment planning process, care coordination, and documentation for youth in the PMIC program.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including admissions, discharges, monthly and quarterly reports, recertifications, and care approvals.
  • Actively facilitate individualized treatment goals with the aim of transitioning youth to a supportive family-like environment within 3–9 months.
  • Serve as a key liaison with the Department of Health and Human Services, schools, guardians, and internal teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Champion trauma-informed practices and model positive relationship-building and restorative approaches.
  • Inspire collaboration through team leadership, staff coaching, and promoting solution-focused communication.
  • Support and contribute to a positive program culture that reflects the mission and values of Children’s Square.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and at least two years of experience, OR six years of direct residential experience.
  • A solid understanding of child development, family systems, and the child welfare system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities in diverse team settings.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of a 24/7 care environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to community-based meetings and trainings.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an inclusive approach to client care.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work primarily occurs indoors in a residential treatment setting and office environment.
  • Active and dynamic environment with opportunities for hands-on support, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
  • Some physical activity (e.g., bending, lifting) and participation in interventions when needed.
  • Flexible work hours and occasional travel to off-site locations for meetings and training are required.
