Athletics Multimedia Gameday Assistant (Federal Work Study/Student Worker)

Primary Function:  This position supports the production and presentation of BU Athletics events. Students in this role will help bring games to life through ScoreVision scoreboard content, livestreaming support, and multimedia operations.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Operate ScoreVision scoreboard during events (videos, animations, sponsor content)
  • Assist in livestream production (camera switching, graphics, replays)
  • Help with pre-event setup and post-event breakdown for production equipment
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of event scripting and in-game media flow
  • Organize and prepare pre-produced content for use during events
  • Support in creating a professional and entertaining fan experience

 

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.    
  • BU student in good standing with an interest in sports media, event production, or technology.
  • Previous experience with livestreaming tools (e.g., OBS, Wirecast), video editing, or scoreboard systems is helpful but not required.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and enthusiasm for live sports are essential
  • All training will be provided.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily works in athletic facilities and multimedia control rooms during home events
  • Requires standing, sitting, or moving for extended periods during live game coverage
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for setup and teardown of multimedia equipment
  • Evening and weekend hours are required based on the athletics schedule
  • May work in low-light or high-noise environments typical of live sports productions
