Our Surgical Services team is looking to add a new team member. The Surgical Services Coordinator handles organ preservation, surgical recovery of research organs, and assists with transporting organs on flyouts.
 
Do you have at least two years of operating room experience, can prioritize quickly, and continuously strive for excellence with a composed demeanor? If so, we want you to join our team!
 
This position participates in a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule
to facilitate the recovery of organs.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides organ procurement supplies and instrumentation to the OR staff 
  • Accountable for the proper setup of the operating room.
  • Responsible for procurement, preservation, packaging, labeling, and shipment of organs.
  • Provide support with research organ allocation and recovery.
  • Perform kidney pumping and maintain perfusion documentation.
  • Maintain inventory, stock, and cleanliness of organ procurement supplies.
 
Education
  • Completion of Surgical Technology program and/or Associates Degree with a concentration in healthcare preferred with equivalent experience.
  • Two years of operating room experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.
  • Capability to travel by vehicle and plane.
