Position Overview:
As an Occupational Therapist at MaxAbility Therapy Services, you will work directly with children of various ages and abilities to develop and implement therapeutic interventions that enhance their ability to perform daily activities. You will play a vital role in helping children build skills related to motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care, and social participation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine the individual needs and goals of each child.
Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Provide direct therapy services in a one-on-one or group setting.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize effectiveness.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of interdisciplinary treatment approaches.
Stay current on the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Nebraska (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
Experience working with children in a therapy setting, preferred.
Strong understanding of pediatric development, sensory integration, and fine motor skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and team members.
Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each child.
Compassion, patience, and dedication to providing high-quality care.
Experience with a variety of therapy techniques, including sensory processing, fine motor development, and self-regulation strategies.
