The job:
As the Manager of Billing Operations, you'll drive the financial engine that powers Buildertrendâ??s growth. Youâ??ll lead a team focused on delivering seamless billing and collections processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency every step of the way. By optimizing workflows and resolving challenges, you'll directly impact cash flow and business scalability, all while building strong relationships with both internal teams and customers. Your leadership will help Buildertrend stay agile, efficient, and set for success as we scale and deliver exceptional results.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the billing operations and collections team, providing coaching, development, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
• Drive efficiency and scalability by identifying and implementing process improvements and system enhancements.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures for billing and collections, ensuring compliance with accounting.
• Establish, monitor, and refine internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally, including with Sales, Finance, and Customer Success teams to support, create and improve workflows, resolve billing discrepancies, and strengthen internal and external customer relationships.
• Optimize the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including pre-and post-sales workflows, to improve cash flow, reduce customer friction, enhance operational effectiveness and ensure billing accuracy.
• Serve as the primary contact for escalations, resolving customer inquiries and disputes in a timely and effective manner to improve internal and external satisfaction.
• Monitor the accounts receivable aging report, develop and support collections strategies to reduce past-due balances, and improve internal and external satisfaction.
• Manage relationships with customers, including timely resolution of customer inquiries and disputes.
• Manage the cash application process, ensuring timely and accurate posting of customer payments.

Who you are and what we need:

• Bachelorâ??s degree required in accounting, finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience managing people
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office and related systems
• Display proficiency with adjacent systems including Chargebee, PayPal, Braintree and Stripe
• Display a high attention to detail and a strong understanding of the relevant company practice
• Display a high aptitude for productive interactions with internal partners including Product and Technology, Sales and Customer Success
