Creighton University School of Medicine-Phoenix is seeking a GME Rural Track Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of graduate medical education training programs to rural communities in Arizona. In partnership with the GME Office and Program Director(s), the Rural Track Program Manager will oversee the coordination of rural track program workflows and execution, sponsored by Creighton University School of Medicine-Phoenix.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the project management, implementation, and evaluation of rural track programs. Coordinate activities, schedules, and logistics for program development events and activities. Provides support and meets regularly with the academic and health system stakeholders concerning the rural program management and activities and the status of projects. Acts as a liaison between faculty and hospital administration when appropriate
  • Build and maintain relationships with rural communities, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. Represent the program at community events and meetings. Develop materials as needed.
  • Interprets and applies ACGME, other accrediting agencies, and hospital policies to support compliance. Drives all application and documentation required for ACGME recognition. Assists in the preparation for ACGME Self Study, Site Visits, and internal/special reviews.
  • Creates and/or maintains external program advertising/media through websites, brochures, postcards, publications and other such media. Creates/edits annual publications regarding the program. Maintains program’s website content.
  • May assist with recruitment and training of rural training program staff. Travel to rural training sites is required.

In collaboration with rural site coordinator, supports appropriate training site(s), department(s) and SI needs including but not limited to:

  • Informs residents and trainees of inter and intradepartmental policy and procedure changes, with assistance from GME office.
  • Material management for specialty-specific trainee exams and may assist with proctoring exams
  • Monitors program progress, track key performance indicators, and ensure adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Tracks, reports, and ensures compliance with procedures regarding licensing, annual contracts, and initial and re-credentialing of trainees.
  • Program/department events including recruitment, orientation, graduation, retreats, faculty development, etc.
  • Maintains databases in accordance to established common database protocols with resident and faculty data, including New Innovations.
  • Receives inquiries from residents and applicants and triage as necessary to others within the department or in other hospitals.
  • Provides administrative supervision and guidance to residents regarding administrative issues, due dates, and deadlines.
  • Engages in assisting with execution of resident recruitment, orientation, external rotations, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience of office administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting
  • Experience working in rural communities or with rural populations is highly desirable.
  • Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
