The Admissions Application Specialist within the division of Enrollment Management assists in managing application data associated with numerous program applications. This position is part of a team responsible for preparing applications for review, evaluating transcripts, identifying prerequisites, and ensuring data integrity across all programs. This position is critical to processing applications and deposits, both of which are key indicators of enrollment. The technical skills needed to be successful in this role are continually evolving, but include attention to detail, openness to learning new programs and processes, and experience in data processing.

Application cycles have numerous deadlines during the year; this creates a steady flow of applications throughout the year. This person is responsible for sharing the application volume for all programs supported. This team manages and will be held accountable for the integrity of the application-related data within the student information system to support the University enrollment strategic decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluates coursework for programs to identify prerequisites required. 
     
  • Manages email communications within supported programs.
     
  • Works to ensure data is clean and applications are updated with appropriate documents. 
     
  • Assign and release decisions for all supported programs and ensure all data is correct within all admissions software.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in data entry or data quality, admissions experience is preferred 
     
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred).

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately to enter data, check data quality, and process data for reporting.
     
  • Very detail-oriented.
     
  • Ability to work well on a team as well as independently, motivated.
     
  • Ability to learn quickly and be flexible in job responsibilities.  
     
  • Organization, time management, and project management skills/experience. 
     
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
     
  • Experience working with admissions/recruitment/CRM software preferred.
