Campus Life Student Worker

The Student Life Desk Worker is responsible for assisting fellow students with accessing gaming equipment, answering questions, and supporting a variety of tasks to maintain the game room. They will also provide support for Student Life events as needed.

• Distribute gaming equipment to students based on requests in an efficient and friendly manner

• Ensure the game room remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all users

• Night shift workers are responsible for cleaning and securing the game room at closing

• Respond promptly and professionally to student questions and provide support as needed

• Assist with various assigned tasks to support the daily operations of the game room

• Contribute to Campus Life events and activities by providing event support as needed

• Must be a currently enrolled student at Iowa Western Community College

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet

• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated

• Willingness to support, work and participate in Student Life events

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Basic knowledge of gaming equipment and a willingness to learn

• Positive attitude and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all students
