Position Summary | This position would be 100% non-malignant hematology. The Section Leader, Non-Malignant Hematology will serve as the visionary leader for the Non-Malignant Hematology Section/Division and will be responsible for providing leadership in convening interprofessional and interdisciplinary faculty to focus on the mission and vision for the division. The Section Leader is a transformational physician who is nationally/internationally known for clinical research in non-malignant hematology and will enhance collaborations and attract patients for clinical trials with the goal of increasing survival for all patients with blood disorders. The Section Leader engages, leads, and energizes the Non-Malignant Hematology Section/Division to build new initiatives and collaborations both across and outside of the UNMC. The Section Leader, Non-Malignant Hematology will be a distinguished clinical researcher who will lead the multi-disciplinary team that comprises the Non-Malignant Hematology Section/Division. Additionally, this Section Leader will collaborate with key constituencies throughout UNMC, FPBCC, and Nebraska Medicine to expand clinical trials, advance clinical, translational, and basic research initiatives in non-malignant hematology, and to develop dashboards that measure financial performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. |
