About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the financial steward and strategic leader for all finance functions. The CFO will be a key leader and financial advisor, providing an organization-wide focus on fiscal policy, services, and risk management. This role involves directing and managing the finance department, including annual financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, and various other essential services. The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting financial information transparently, ensuring comprehensive oversight of all funds, and building strong relationships to coordinate the development of robust financial processes and internal controls. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have at least 8 years' of financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years' in a management role. Government finance experience is highly preferred, particularly with knowledge of the financial impacts of public policies. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree and CPA or CPFO designation preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public finance, including tax policy, and best practices in public entity purchasing. Experience with public sector unions, pay practices, pensions, and grant administration is also highly valued.
