About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive team and play a pivotal role in the organization's financial management and strategic planning. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, including budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management. This key position demands a strong leader with a solid foundation in nonprofit finance and accounting, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to the values of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in the context of high-growth nonprofit environments, and a proven track record of driving financial success. The CFO will also be involved in fundraising and grant management, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement, and must be adept at leading and mentoring a finance team. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline, with an MBA and active CPA being a plus. A minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior role, is required. The successful candidate will have a strong background in GAAP accounting, nonprofit financial management, and experience with fiscal sponsors and various financial institutions. Proficiency in financial software and excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. The CFO will be expected to act as a key financial advisor, provide strategic financial insights, and ensure the organization's financial integrity and transparency.
