About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Residential Life to lead and oversee the development of an inclusive and supportive campus living environment. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strategic vision for residential education, assignments, and housing operations, ensuring that the diverse needs of students are respected and honored. This role requires a leader who can make courageous decisions, promote a culture of inclusive excellence, and serve as a critical link in addressing student needs. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic direction, collaboration with peer department leads, and advocacy for student success, engagement, and well-being. They must have a visible and active presence, and cultivate open and transparent relationships with staff, students, families, and faculty. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company must have an advanced degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in residential life administration, with at least two years at a leadership level. The role demands a proven track record of decisive leadership, a high level of emotional intelligence, and a commitment to student-centeredness. The ideal candidate will have experience in the development and execution of strategic and operational plans, be adept at leading through change, and have a strong commitment to inclusive excellence in a higher education setting. The Executive Director will be expected to lead, motivate, and provide vision to staff, and to ensure that the residential life operation is nimble and enables growth, while also being prepared to lead through crises and challenges with the highest integrity.
