The role also involves advocating and collaborating with the CEO and Director of External Affairs to ensure unified messaging and active advocacy. The successful candidate will be a passionate ambassador for the organization, with strong public speaking skills, and will contribute to high-level organizational planning and evaluation. Qualifications for the position include a Bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. The CDO will be expected to have strong relationship-building skills, expertise in philanthropy and fundraising techniques, and the ability to analyze data to drive strategy. Proficiency in donor management systems, CRM platforms, and financial forecasting is also required, along with a commitment to fostering a high-performance team and a passion for mentoring and developing staff.
