Mid/Senior SDET

ROLE: SDET w/ Java Coding Exp.

LOCATION: 100% Remote (Rockville, MD)

ROLE OVERVIEW: Apex Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior level SDET. The position is on a long term contract basis, with chance to become a permanent employee if desired. The successful candidate will work in a fast paced environment, and help develop test cases and automate testing. The ideal candidate will be an independent contributor who has an interest in automating test processes. This will be an opportunity to continuously participate in integration and delivery of this application. Java coding experience is needed!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Candidates should have experience throughout all phases of the SDLC; specific testing experience should include:
  • Test Case Management: generation, coverage, traceability
  • Execution of test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
  • Testing system modifications to prepare for implementation
• 5+ years of demonstrable hands-on automation testing experience (Java)
• Good understanding of programming in Java / J2EE
• Ability to analyze and linearize algorithms, and understand how to use data structures correctly
• Strong SQL experience - familiarity with SQL joins, aggregation functions vs analytic functions.
• Strong experience testing REST API's with REST Assured
• Strong UI testing experience - Selenium, Protractor or Cypress
• Strong understanding of Cucumber
• Experience using AWS: EC2, EMR, S3, Lambda, RDS highly preferred
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills, and learn new tools quickly
