Reporting To:

The IT Programmer will report directly to the Director of Information Technology.

What You Will Be Doing:

The IT Programmer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using .Net technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create robust, scalable, and secure applications that meet client needs and performance standards. The role requires a detail-oriented and innovative developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Application Development:
  • Design, develop, test, and implement web applications using .Net technologies, primarily ASP.Net and C#.
  • Integrate applications with databases, primarily SQL Server, to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
Code Review and Troubleshooting:
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices are adhered to.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed to resolve issues and enhance performance.
Collaboration with Teams:
  • Collaborate with Corporate staff and Regional leaders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
Maintain and Enhance Existing Systems:
  • Modify and improve existing software applications to add new features, fix bugs, and enhance functionality.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of applications and ensure they align with evolving business requirements.
Database Management:
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects to ensure database performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to ensure smooth data integration and system performance.
IT Support and Growth Opportunities:
  • Participate in the ongoing IT department support and needs.
  • Be open to new opportunities and growth within the technical services department.
Documentation:
  • Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation for systems and applications.
  • Document code changes and updates to ensure clarity for future development and troubleshooting.
Qualifications

Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in software development using C#, ASP.Net, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server, including writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with .Net Core and Entity Framework.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen ability to address issues efficiently.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
