We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology (IR) for an exciting Day Shift (4x10 hours) contract opportunity in San Francisco, California. This 13-week assignment is perfect for an experienced IR nurse ready to join a world-class medical team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Role Overview:
As an Interventional Radiology RN, you will deliver expert nursing care for patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care throughout the peri-procedural process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assess patients before IR procedures, ensuring thorough education and informed consent.
• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient status during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in both IR and Neuro IR settings.
• Assist physicians during complex procedures such as angiograms, embolizations, biopsies, and vascular access interventions.
• Manage recovery and post-procedure monitoring, ensuring patient safety and effective pain management.
• Collaborate with ICU, ED, and PACU teams to coordinate the care of critically ill patients.
• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Float to other UCSF facilities as needed to support patient care continuity.

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN License (unrestricted)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 3 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience
• Proven competency in Moderate Sedation for IR and Neuro IR procedures
• Ability to float to multiple UCSF locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in ICU, Emergency Department (ED), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or procedural areas
• Radiology Imaging Nursing Certification (CRN)
• PALS Certification (American Heart Association)

Vaccination Requirements:

• COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster required (Medical/Religious exemptions accepted per facility guidelines)

• 4x10-hour shifts, Variable Day Shifts
• Some flexibility required based on procedural volume
