Refrigeration Maintenance Technician
FULL-TIME
$38.05/hr
- Operate and maintain refrigeration systems while adhering to Tyson policies and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on designated equipment.
- Monitor all industrial refrigeration equipment daily and document readings.
- Complete work order tasks and log all work into the computerized system.
- Follow Tyson Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment such as air compressors, HVAC systems, MAUS, cooling coils, boilers, and potable water systems.
- Monitor carcass temperatures to ensure specifications are met.
- Use manuals and scheduling sheets to complete reports as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Schedule Shift start: 5:00PM
Shift length: 8 - 12 hours
Must be available all days of the week

Qualifications - Must pass drug screen (cannabis excluded)
- Must pass background check
- Can lift 40 lbs
- Must be at least 18+ years old
Knowledge or experience with HVAC systems.
At least six (6) months of industrial refrigeration experience or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program (documented in the work history section of the application).
Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
Working knowledge of industrial refrigeration principles.
Ability to wear a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and air-purified respirators (APR) as required.
Physical ability to climb ladders, reach, lift overhead, and move equipment or machinery
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for the duration of a shift.
Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with fragile, precise devices.
Capability to work in extreme climates, from very cold to very hot, and from very wet to very dry.
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with others.
Compliance with OSHA standards, safety rules, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Entry certifications (willing to obtain).
Ability to understand and use manuals, complete reports, and follow documented procedures.
Willingness to work weekends, including Saturday and Sunday, as needed.
Ability to move freely throughout the plant, over and around equipment, people, and obstacles.
